Trashing the Dress!!

”Trash my dress? You’ve got to be kidding!!”

Well, it’s not so much as destroying your dress as doing a High-Fashion photo shoot in the most unthinkable places where a wedding dress doesn’t seem to belong: Fountains, changing a tire, laying on the grass, playing tennis or golf, working under the hood of a car (or under the car), on a motorcycle wearing leather boots, in a junkyard, in an abandoned building, etc.

Trash the Dress is a phenomenon sweeping the International wedding scene. Brides are wanting to have fun while getting unconventional fashion photos of their wedding dress. Some brides are choosing to do this because they want to get their money’s worth for the amount of time and money they spent on choosing the “perfect” dress or to appear as a “Fashion Model” in their wedding dress.

“Trash the Dress” isn’t for everybody but, if you’re wanting to do something a little crazy, this may be right up your “alley” (pun intended).

What the New York Times wrote about “Trash the Dress”.

I know, you probably read that headline and are thinking, “What!!!???!!!” Trash the dress photo sessions are not for the faint of heart. It’s a photo session done AFTER the wedding and honeymoon are over to symbolically show your husband that you will NEVER need your wedding dress again. The purpose of the photo shoot is to get some very creative and different photos of you in your dress.

The perfect place for this type of photo shoot is at the beach. Yes…you will be rolling around in the sand and surf and your dress will be “trashed.” But, only temporarily. Most often, the dress can be hung to dry and cleaned. If you are recently married and would love to be one of the first to get a “trash the dress” photo shoot by me, please email or call me ASAP.

To see what a “trash the dress” session is all about, you can check out www.trashthedress.com

As an alternative, you can also donate your dress to www.makingmemories.org and support Brides Against Breast Cancer.

This is going to be FUN!
